Firsts Fun!

We've been doing a few firsts this past month...

First Bubble Bath:

(I'm embarrassed to say it took me nearly 2 years to remember that this was something a toddler may find REALLY fun!)

Jansen's squeal - "BUBBLES!!!!!!!!"

We had to have bubble beards - of course!

First time Bare Foot Outside:

(Had to do this now that it was nice out and before the fire ants settle in for the season!)

Even handled the rocks like a champ!

First time to help with dishes:

We went to IKEA and got Jansen a step stool since he had been dragging the kitchen chairs all over. He absolutely LOVES 'helping' with the dishes now! The problem lies in that he also soaks himself, the floor, and splashes like a madman in the dishwater. He also pulls the stool up to the sink when we aren't doing the dishes, but there are dirty dishes in there... this lead to him walking around the corner of the kitchen into the living room with a paring knife in each hand saying, "mama, mama" while waving them like a couple of flags! Eek!! We're learning that there are NO SAFE ZONES for anything on the counters or in the sinks anymore!! Thank God no harm that time and we are now being very cautious!
