Family Workouts

We all went to the track before Richard had to go do his week for the reserves stuff and though I've been telling everyone that Jansen is right in there with us when we work out, I've never been able to get it on camera... Until NOW! Gosh I love this little ham! He's so darn adorable and wants so badly to be with us and do all that we do! Enjoy!!
Running Buddy.

Post workout stretches!

Sponge Bob Craze

Jansen is wild over Sponge Bob. You saw in the last posts that JM got him the jammies to prove it, well now here's the videos of the crazy-kid build up over 'the Bob!'
The way it begins...

The build...

Full on Madness!! :0D

Family Picture Day

The day we got family pictures, Jansen discovered the chain fence as we were leaving. He was pretty funny on it so I had to video him to share!

Pit Stop

Traveling back from the State Fair Jansen was having a melt down, so we had to make a pit stop at the Texas Motor Speedway grounds. He enjoyed the opportunity to stretch his legs. He was dancing around all over the place!

Falls Fest 2010

Falls Fest is an annual festival in a local park that is full of festival foods, kids activities, and music! It is a good time. The boys were able to do more things together this year and also Jansen could play more of the games since he was older now.
In the blow-up Obstacle course together.

Help me, Dudah! (Ugh!)
Getting a lift up from the BEST BROTHER ever!!
Prepping for the finale!
Down come Little J!
Down comes Big J!

Fast pitch game for Jonathan.
Tossing out those strikes!
Hammer slam for Jansen (with Mommy help).

Bean bag toss to Daddy behind the nets.

Hey Daddy, Where'd it go?

Videos of the boys in the jump house at the festival!

Church Picnic

In September we had our first church picnic to go to with this church. It was pretty fun, but we were surprised at how few parish members actually came.
Jansen swinging when we first got there.
Jansen and Daddy Teeter-Tottering.
Ride 'Em Cowboy!
Jansen in his pimped out ride! We found this awesome wagon (it folds up to fit in the car!) and it has been an awesome and very convenient purchase! He usually likes it too!
Daddy tried to get Jansen to go through the play tunnel...

... however, he was having none of that!

Goofing Around

Just some pics of everyday silliness between the last post and this round of posting!
Jansen wants to go running with his Daddy!
This is Jansen and his practice for trying out for the Sooner Football Team. I hope by then he realizes he'll need pants!
Happy with the day's practice... which was walking around with a helmet on, by the way!
Daddy's proud of his little Boomer Sooner!

Goofing

Oh Canada!!

This one goes out to the Joachims!! Just thought you'd appreciate knowing Jansen has not forgotten our visit, nor has any intention of letting us rule out Canada as an option whenever we decide to move from here!

Jonathan Birthday

I can't even believe it is already here and gone, but Jonathan turned ELEVEN!!!!!!!! We baked him a delicious cake and celebrated by going bowling the weekend before his actual birthday since he was with his mom on his birthday weekend this year. I didn't get bowling pictures because I was too busy trying not to lose, but even Austin got to go with us!!
Jonathan and his cake. We actually have a picture of him that it appears he is genuinely happy to have his pic taken!

Make a wish!!

Helping Olga

OK... I must say that as a theatre teacher I do have a good deal of experience with make-up design. I have not, however, ever worked with Latex Paint. I have done some creative mixing of things to make a good many cool designs with make-up but this was a new experience for me. Olga wanted to do a latex body painted tiger on her upper body for Halloween. I think the design turned out really cool. That stuff takes layer upon layer to get to the finished product, but I think it was worth it! She looked really great, if I'm allowed to say so myself! For the record... she is not wearing a shirt. That is all done with paint right on her skin. She already had some of herself covered (if you know what I mean) before I started on the design and fine tuning of the project.

Rrrraarrr!!

Safe Kids Halloween

On Halloween night, the local businesses (lead by the local news channel) get together and rent out the bottom floor of a hotel. They then decorate rooms and pass out candy there in a safe environment for the kiddos. We went last year, just Jansen and I. This year we got Jimmy and his parents to go with Richard, Jansen, and Me! It was even MORE fun together!!
Richard and I in a rare candid pic together! Usually one or the other of us is behind the camera!!
Waiting our turn to go get through the trick-or-treat line inside.
After we went through. Jansen got a little freaked out by the giant monkey (guy in a monkey suit - not gorilla, mind you- MONKEY) with the great big mascot head.

Daddy and Jansen gettin' all silly while we waited for Jimmy to get his turn to go through!
Jimmy ended up wearing the sock monkey J had last year since he didn't want to keep his Stewie head on for his other costume! Isn't he a doll?!
Here's the secret... If we just let them take the darn picture, maybe they'll go ahead and take up to get some real grub, ya think?

Here we are! Take the pic so we can go eat, guys!!
So Mom, we posed for you pic, can we go eat now?

We did, by the way. We all went to IHOP for some grub after this!

Jonathan's Halloween Cake

Each year since I've know him, Jonathan and I have done a Halloween cake together. There's been a spider, a bat, a ghost, and this year we decided to do a pumpkin. It started off fun, BUT Jonathan got bored (I think he's no longer 'in to' doing these kinds of things with me anymore) so I ended up frosting and decorating myself. Hrumph. The boys DID like to pose with it though!! :oD

Not So Scary Halloween

The Nature Center here puts on a Halloween Festival for the kids each year. This year we went and met Kristyn and Jimmy there. We got there much earlier than they did so we kinda hung out and I got a couple of pics with the pumpkins they had around. He was so gosh darn cute, but you can see here he was really wanting Jimmy there at this point. Still adorable pics though so I had to share!
Where's Jimmy?
Jimmy's here?!

There's my friend!! Stewie Griffin and Ring-Tailed Lemur (aka Jimmy and Jansen)

Day Care Halloween

Jansen had several firsts this year for Halloween! His new daycare put on a Halloween Party (which in itself was his first) so that kicked it all off! We baked and decorated our first character cake together for the party AND he had his first Hayride that night too! It was really awesome!

Dressed and ready for the party! Our Little Lemur was a ginormous HIT!
Playin' a little pigskin before we left. He thought the hood of his costume was a helmet so he grabbed the football!! Check out that form!
and.... the pass is complete for a touchdown!
Here's the "Monster Cake" that Jansen and I made together for his party. He took this picture by himself, by the way!
On Jansen's first hayride with his daycare teacher, Rhonda!

With his other daycare teacher, Judy. It's really cool because Judy and I used to work together, way back when I ran a daycare center before I started teaching! Now she is the assistant director at the one Jansen goes to now.... translated to - Jansen is spoiled, spoiled, spoiled... but definitely LOVED and well taken care of!
